First time I read about the cyclotron back in high school days, it opened a flood gates to understanding so many questions i had in my mind. As you may know , the cyclotron cycles an electron between two plates that maintain a small potential difference and every time the electron passes the two plates it picks up additional voltage. Thus by rotating the electron insane number of time, the electron can be accelerated to insane energy. Getting back to one of my questions; evolution of the creature started with the first cell having one basic set of properties -
1. reproduce
2. sustain
3. pass on the improved traits, during the reproduction/sustenance to the progeny.

Thus each generation by contributing minor improvement over insane number of reproductive cycles evolved into insanely complex and smart creatures. And eventually the humans.

Hollywood movies, science fiction and general literature is full of so much crap. I really fail to see why, the Cold war era perception of science as an evil destructive force is still being propagated. I strongly believe that all the human beings knowingly or unknowingly, smart and dumb, religious fanatics and non believers are working towards one goal, expansion of humans further into space and scientific frontiers.

Cause it is my opinion.

I don’t believe that the human race is going to perish of its own doings – I mean the green house gases, population and all. Nature has its own self balancing mechanism. Mind it, that human race, its brain, its both constructive and destructive tendencies are provided by nature and it all fits pretty well in the scheme of things. Crisis brings out the creativity, as the resources shrink we are going to move out into space, inhabiting moons and planets.
